Meet our Board Member - Jasmine Hoffman

Jasmine and Eshad present at PA Safe Roads PAC event; seen here with Jason Duckworth (PA Safe Roads PAC) and PA State Senator Christine Tartaglione (May, 2025).

Jasmine Hoffman has been an active board member of PA Safe Roads PAC since its inception. In 2016, Jasmine’s niece, Jayanna Powell, was struck and killed while walking home from school in Philadelphia. Jasmine and Jayanna’s mother, Ayeshia Poole, chose to channel grief into purpose. They co-founded the Jay Alert legislation that has been introduced as a proposed bill in the Pennsylvania Senate and House. Jasmine has worked for nine years to create meaningful collaborations with legislators, family advocates, and organizations to secure support for the bill. With her continued advocacy, we are hopeful that the Jay Alert bill will be signed into law.

Jasmine remains deeply active in her community and a pillar in her family. She brings her young son, Eshad, to all advocacy events as she has committed to nurture the next generation of young voices. In addition to her advocacy, Jasmine owns and operates a cleaning service.
